Responsibilities of the ICU Nurse:

• Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in the ICU, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and assessing patient status.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans for each patient.
• Perform advanced nursing interventions as needed, including airway management, hemodynamic monitoring, and ventilator management.
• Maintain accurate and thorough patient records, including documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient responses.
• Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment options, and post-discharge care instructions.
• Respond quickly and effectively to changes in patient condition, utilizing critical thinking skills to assess and address emergent situations.

Qualifications of the ICU Nurse:

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of Texas.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working as an ICU nurse in an acute care setting.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferred.

The Director of Patient Services will be responsible for supervising clinical staff, maintaining compliance of all requirements and policies, and collaborating with the Executive Director & other key stakeholders. The Director of Patient Services must have an RN License & Bachelor's degree, and 2+ years management experience is preferred.
